CORKSCREW SUNFLOWERS - Southwest, FL
After experiencing the profusion of sunflowers at Corckscrew Swamp Sanctuary, Mary Wozniak was convinced that I needed to see it too. She made arrangements with Ed Carlson, Director of Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, and off we all went into the depths of Corkscrew to experience this explosion of flowers that happens only once every three to four years. Sixty acres of sunflowers arched toward the sun stretching between six and ten feet tall. I was speechless. The beauty was as if Mary had invited me to join her in heaven.
