Annual Gala Event & Swamp Walks

Your guides will be leading you into the wilds of Florida located behind the Big Cypress Gallery. The walks will last about one hour, however plan on two hours from start to clean up. This year we will be having three different moderate wet walks; the deepest you will get is thigh high. These walks are nice and moderate for everybody to learn and enjoy their surroundings.
There will be three different paths, each walk will be as tranquil and beautiful as the others. We have volunteers this summer clearing the paths. |

What to Wear and Bring:
 |
1. Wear long pants,hat, and old tennis shoes.
2. Bring a complete change of clothes
3. We will supply you with bottled water
4. Water proof camera is recomended
5. Friends of ours have a mobile concession. They will be making hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwhiches, and many more snacks. They will also have cold drinks for purchase. |
Labor Day Weekend 2004 Swamp Walk T-Shirt
Skip Mace attended last years Gala and summited a t-shirt design for this year, and we loved it!
We are pre-selling adult and youth t-shirts this year. If you order them now the t-shirts will be $12 each and on site(Labor Day Weekend) they will sell for $15 each. Staff Medallions & Hiking Sticks
We supply you a hiking stick for your walk this is included in the $20 fee. However, we did have requests last year to sell nice hiking sticks. Another request we had was staff medallions, these are to put on your hiking stick to show what hikes you have done. Niki has come up with a wonderfully tacky design for the medallion. This design is also available as pins. We are taking pre-orders for the hiking stick, melallions, and pins.
The Walking Stick and Push Pin Medallions are $5 each and the Hiking Staff is $20 pre-order or $24 on Labor Day Weekend . Click here to order
